New Year's Eve Outfit Options

No matter how you plan to ring in 2014, we have you covered. Seriously there are so many good options! And the best part? All of our holiday dresses are currently 40% off with our After Christmas Sale!!!!

Whether you're headed to a fancy dinner with friends, a concert with your BFF, a house party with the neighbors or a full blown night out on the town, we have tons of options. Personally I prefer to wear something sparkly no matter what the plans are!!  Whether you are jetting off to New York for the ball drop, or headed to Miami for a winter escape, we can dress you from head to toe.

After you've selected your look with your fab'rik stylist, don't forget:
1. The shoes.
2. The coordinating jewelry.
3. A gorgeous clutch.

Lastly, decide on a hair and makeup look. I think NYE is the perfect time to debut a gorgeous red lip. (I like Maybelline "R U Reddy" for a classic red, or Stila "Fiery" for a deep red.)

Before you head out the door, don't forget to grab a camera, make sure your phone is fully charged (or pick up a Mighty Purse from select fab'rik locations), and of course make a plan for how you plan to end the evening and get home safely. Also, throwing a pair of flats in your purse isn't a bad idea! You might thank yourself later! ;)

We hope all of our fab'rik addicts have a safe and happy New Year!!
After Christmas Sale starts today and ends December 31.

Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas

Hi fab'rik addicts! Today we have a guest post from one of our stylists in Austin, Texas, Melissa!!

We are so excited to have Melissa show us some of her favorite outfits for this time of year.

I've never been a huge fan of leopard print, mostly because I've always thought it to be too glam for my style. However, recently my style-heart has opened up to the possibilities of leopard print, and when paired with olive (my favorite color this season), how could you possibly go wrong!? Whether you need a casual outfit or a festive look, I have you covered!
Image
Enjoy this Thanksgiving comfortably with shorts, an over-sized sweater, and flats.
Sweater//Shorts (this style no longer available online)//Shoes// Bag (this style no longer available online)

Maybe you're not into shorts this season- I'm actually pretty positive 75% of the nation can't wear them. However, I'm in Texas, and we can wear shorts just about all year round, unless a cold front blows through, and then we'll need pants and closed toed shoes for about two weeks max. But I digress... Trade in the shorts for leggings, add some embellished booties, and layered necklaces and you've added some polish to a very simple look!

My final holiday look is for all the glam girls who love their dresses, heels, and sparkly jewelry! For extra warmth layer a leather moto-jacket under the vest, and wear black tights.

We are loving these outfits Melissa! Thank you for sharing!  If you live in the Austin area, make sure to stop by fab'rik and let Melissa style you!

And as always, you can share YOUR fab'rik photos with us anytime! We would love to see how you style our pieces.  Email your photos to ally@fabrikeastcobb.com to be added to our "Out and About" album on facebook.

Thank you for reading!

All About The Eyes

Hi fab'rik addicts!! Today we are going to swap things up and talk MAKEUP!!! Specifically we are going to talk about how to make your gorgeous eyes even more gorgeous. Polishing off your outfit with the right makeup is always a must!

We have a guest blogger today, Lacey Wall! Lacey is one of our fab'rik friends and knows it all when it comes to beauty.  Without further ado... let's dive into Lacey's makeup bag!

EYE SHADOW:

You only need one thing! Urban Decay’s Naked Palette. This single palette ranges from light to dark, taking you from day to night. No boring shadows here ladies! This palette is packed with 12 gorgeous hues and includes the pro-quality Good Karma Shadow Brush. The shadows apply smoothly with great pigmentation. Mix several shades from matte to shimmery to achieve your own unique look.

Fun tip: For a more dramatic look, cover your eyelid with a lighter shade first. Then, apply a darker shade to the outer corners and crease of your eye.

URBAN DECAY Naked Palette $52 at Sephora

EYELINER:

If you’ve ever tried liquid eyeliner, chances are you’ve experienced the crooked messy lines that have you looking more like Alice Cooper instead of Angelina Jolie. Luckily, our brilliant friends at LancĂ´me have introduced Artliner. This easy to use liquid pen, featuring a slender foam tip, allows you to shape and line your eyes with amazing precision. And, unlike most liquid liners, it comes in 6 different colors! Let’s skip the all-nighter look and go for red carpet chic!

Fun Tip: For a sexy cat eye effect, flick the liner pen slightly upward and outward at the outside corner of the eye for a winged tip.

LANCOME Artliner $30 at Sephora

If liquid liner just isn’t your thing, Smashbox Always Sharp Waterproof Kohl Liner is the best pencil liner you can find. This fool-proof pencil glides on smoothly and comes in 8 different colors. And the best part…you can ditch the sharpener! This eyeliner self-sharpens every time you twist off the cap!

SMASHBOX Always Sharp Waterproof Kohl Liner $20 at Sephora

MASCARA:

If you do nothing else…wear mascara! Even if you prefer to be bare faced, a little mascara can go a long way to enhance your appearance. Estee Lauder’s Turbo Lash is a staple you’ll always find in my makeup bag. The brush vibrates to create volume, length, and curl while separating your lashes. And, brace yourselves…this mascara does not clump! You can layer as many coats as you’d like. So don’t be afraid to pile it on for extra gorgeous lashes.

ESTEE LAUDER TurboLash All Effects Motion Mascara $38 at Bloomingdales.

Fun Tip: Try false lashes for day or night. My favorite, Smashes Lashes uses 100% human hair to create a natural look while ranging in length and texture. The lashes are washable and re-wearable featuring a clear strip band for seamless application.

$6.99 at www.smasheslashes.com

So what do you think dolls? What is your must have beauty product for eyes??

Top 4 fab'rik Fall Essentials

Available for purchase here: Dress // Heels // Coat // Bag

Have you gotten your essentials for fall yet?? We definitely believe in having a good framework of go-to items that you can work around all throughout the season.

The LBD (Little Black Dress) can be dressed up or dressed down, all season long. It should be on call for the last minute holiday parties that will pop up! A classic pump is so necessary this time of year since your strappy sandals just won't cut it when the temperatures drop. Pair it with your favorite LBD for a classic look, or wear them with jeans for a night out! Speaking of a night out, you'll want a gorgeous coat in your rotation that can instantly pull any look together.  We love this black and white number because it is so chic and minimalistic. It can dress up a casual look and polish off a girly outfit.  Lastly, a chic handbag is definitely a fall essential as any fab'rik addict knows.  We love this bag because it can go with black or brown, and can be dressy or casual! Versatility is always nice for this season when you'll be on the go with football games, holiday parties, and more!

Happy shopping!!! xo

From Purpose to Passion...

The fab'rik mission statement is simple: High Style with Heart, No Attitude or Sticker Shock.

In our boutiques, we pride ourselves on offering first class customer service to each and every customer. We want to have the cutest, trendiest clothes you can find, all under $100. We want to make sure each shopper leaves the store feeling a little more beautiful than when she walked in.

Outside of the store is where we let our hearts shine.  In 2009, fab'rik CEO Dana Spinola teamed up with a friend, Kim Bartlett, to start our free fab'rik charity.  free fab'rik offers young women the opportunity to shop in a boutique setting without the pressure of a price tag, all while being surrounded by positive influences and fun mentor relationships with the volunteers who help out at the free sprees.

While the charity was immediately a smashing success, Dana wanted to do more.  In January 2013, a group from the fab'rik management team went to visit the village of Karagoto, Kenya and forged lifelong friendships with the women in their local knitting facility.  We brought back their scarves to sell in our stores and plan on returning annually to help out in their incredible community.

We're not stopping there though, and we couldn't be thrilled to share the next chapter of fab'rik with our fab'rik addicts, family, and supporters.  Coming this October, the former fab'rik Midtown store will become the first ever free fab'rik Community Boutique.  This boutique will have donated clothing from the community for sale, with all profits going back into the free fab'rik organization. In addition, the Community Boutique will be used as a gathering place for the free sprees that free fab'rik started with, small group meetings, community dinners, and speakers for the ladies in the mentorship program.

Read this letter from our CEO for a little more info...

Our community boutique’s mission is to restore dignity, confidence and hope to young ladies who have lost theirs by helping them discover God’s will for their lives through mentorship programs, job opportunities and free shopping sprees.

And now, fab'rik family, we need your help! We are hiring not only a Community Boutique manager, but are looking for strong women with exceptional values and huge hearts to volunteer as mentors for the incredible young women who will be benefiting from the program.  The free fab’rik volunteer mentor is a caring, responsible, adult woman who serves as a trusted friend and guide to one mentorship participant. Her role is to encourage, support and advise the mentee to make positive life choices and to help provide guidance for the mentee to grow personally, professionally and spiritually.

If you are interested in contributing to the next chapter of fab'rik, we want to hear from you! We are accepting clothing donations at all fab'rik locations.  If you are interested in making a monetary donation, check out the free fab'rik website.

If you would like to apply for the Boutique Manager or Mentor positions, please send an email to dana@fabrikatlanta.com with your interests! Thank you in advance for helping so many dreams come true.

Fall Trend Report

Hi fab'rik addicts!! Tiffany here today, from Tiffany Style Blog!!

Today I am bringing you some of my favorite fall trends that fab'rik is serving up for fall.

fab'rik has some of the best leather items in store for fall - everything from leather moto jackets, to leather boots, to leather details on tops and even leather bracelets.  Leather has a lovely way of looking super fall, super luxe, and very put together. Throw a leather moto jacket over just about anything this fall and you can instantly pull your outfit together.

My favorite part about the printed tee trend right now is that 1) it is super comfortable, and 2) you can dress it way up or way down.  For instance, obviously skinny jeans and boots with a blazer is a perfect way to dress it down.  But an out of ordinary way to wear it is to tuck it into a skirt and add heels for a dressy-but-not-trying-too-hard look.  I love to wear a casual printed tee/tank with a black pencil skirt and heels out to dinner. Once temperatures really drop, it's nice to throw a scarf and jacket over this look as well, and it's super easy to remove the layers if needed.

One thing I like to do when wearing red, is to literally just wear that one pop of red, and keep everything else neutral.  Maybe wear a red dress with nude heels, and gold jewelry. Or throw on a black moto jacket over your pretty red dress to toughen it up.  (One exception to the rule: add red nails and red lips all you want! I can usually be found wearing both all throughout fall. Maybelline "Are You Reddy" for lips and OPI "O'Hare and Nails Look Great" are a couple of my faves!)

What trends are you most looking forward to for fall?  Leave them in the comments below!!

The fab'rik Guide to Game Day

Hi guys! I'm Caroline, the fab'rik Savannah store manager and blogger over at ladylikelace.com. I'm super pumped about sharing a fun and simple guide to game day! With football season around the corner and as the daughter of a former football coach and sister to a football player, this post is near to my heart! Mostly because, I get it, in the south football season is a BIG deal, the biggest deal and I'm here to help you answer that dreaded question, "What should I wear to the game?" Every girl needs the perfect game day outfit to feel beautiful and to cheer on your team with confidence, and fab'rik is the perfect place to find that! Here a few guidelines and pictures to help you throughout the season:

1. Keep it simple- I'm the first one to admit that I love a complicated outfit with layers everywhere, tons of jewels, and new trends, but game day means less is more. You definitely don't want to look like you tried too hard and cute, simple pieces can always make a statement!

2.Be comfortable- This is not the time to try out your new super mini skirt or 6 inch heels. You NEED to be and look comfortable! You're going to be jumping up and down, mingling with friends, eating unhealthy, but oh so yummy food, and possibly climbing up and down bleachers! So slip on your favorite easy dress or your most comfortable pair of jeans for the days festivities!

3.Mix and match- Be sure to buy pieces that you can mix and match together and with other pieces. This will give you more options for every game without wearing the same outfit twice. Buy basics and solid colors that you can wear again.

4.Dress weather appropriate- We all know the weather during football season can be crazy! It's hot one week and can be freezing the next! Be sure to dress appropriate according to the weather. We know you're dying to wear that cute backless dress you snagged at fab'rik last week, but if it's 30 degrees out, save the dress and bundle up in your cutest game day sweater and boots!

5.It's all in the DEETS: Showing your team support is sometimes best executed in tiny increments. I love the idea of adding your schools colors in the little details of your outfit. Consider sporting your colors in your necklace, handbag, earrings, or shoes!
