From Purpose to Passion...

The fab'rik mission statement is simple: High Style with Heart, No Attitude or Sticker Shock.

In our boutiques, we pride ourselves on offering first class customer service to each and every customer. We want to have the cutest, trendiest clothes you can find, all under $100. We want to make sure each shopper leaves the store feeling a little more beautiful than when she walked in.

Outside of the store is where we let our hearts shine.  In 2009, fab'rik CEO Dana Spinola teamed up with a friend, Kim Bartlett, to start our free fab'rik charity.  free fab'rik offers young women the opportunity to shop in a boutique setting without the pressure of a price tag, all while being surrounded by positive influences and fun mentor relationships with the volunteers who help out at the free sprees.

While the charity was immediately a smashing success, Dana wanted to do more.  In January 2013, a group from the fab'rik management team went to visit the village of Karagoto, Kenya and forged lifelong friendships with the women in their local knitting facility.  We brought back their scarves to sell in our stores and plan on returning annually to help out in their incredible community.

We're not stopping there though, and we couldn't be thrilled to share the next chapter of fab'rik with our fab'rik addicts, family, and supporters.  Coming this October, the former fab'rik Midtown store will become the first ever free fab'rik Community Boutique.  This boutique will have donated clothing from the community for sale, with all profits going back into the free fab'rik organization. In addition, the Community Boutique will be used as a gathering place for the free sprees that free fab'rik started with, small group meetings, community dinners, and speakers for the ladies in the mentorship program.

Read this letter from our CEO for a little more info...

Our community boutique’s mission is to restore dignity, confidence and hope to young ladies who have lost theirs by helping them discover God’s will for their lives through mentorship programs, job opportunities and free shopping sprees.

And now, fab'rik family, we need your help! We are hiring not only a Community Boutique manager, but are looking for strong women with exceptional values and huge hearts to volunteer as mentors for the incredible young women who will be benefiting from the program.  The free fab’rik volunteer mentor is a caring, responsible, adult woman who serves as a trusted friend and guide to one mentorship participant. Her role is to encourage, support and advise the mentee to make positive life choices and to help provide guidance for the mentee to grow personally, professionally and spiritually.

If you are interested in contributing to the next chapter of fab'rik, we want to hear from you! We are accepting clothing donations at all fab'rik locations.  If you are interested in making a monetary donation, check out the free fab'rik website.

If you would like to apply for the Boutique Manager or Mentor positions, please send an email to dana@fabrikatlanta.com with your interests! Thank you in advance for helping so many dreams come true.

Fall Trend Report

Hi fab'rik addicts!! Tiffany here today, from Tiffany Style Blog!!

Today I am bringing you some of my favorite fall trends that fab'rik is serving up for fall.

fab'rik has some of the best leather items in store for fall - everything from leather moto jackets, to leather boots, to leather details on tops and even leather bracelets.  Leather has a lovely way of looking super fall, super luxe, and very put together. Throw a leather moto jacket over just about anything this fall and you can instantly pull your outfit together.

My favorite part about the printed tee trend right now is that 1) it is super comfortable, and 2) you can dress it way up or way down.  For instance, obviously skinny jeans and boots with a blazer is a perfect way to dress it down.  But an out of ordinary way to wear it is to tuck it into a skirt and add heels for a dressy-but-not-trying-too-hard look.  I love to wear a casual printed tee/tank with a black pencil skirt and heels out to dinner. Once temperatures really drop, it's nice to throw a scarf and jacket over this look as well, and it's super easy to remove the layers if needed.

One thing I like to do when wearing red, is to literally just wear that one pop of red, and keep everything else neutral.  Maybe wear a red dress with nude heels, and gold jewelry. Or throw on a black moto jacket over your pretty red dress to toughen it up.  (One exception to the rule: add red nails and red lips all you want! I can usually be found wearing both all throughout fall. Maybelline "Are You Reddy" for lips and OPI "O'Hare and Nails Look Great" are a couple of my faves!)

What trends are you most looking forward to for fall?  Leave them in the comments below!!

The fab'rik Guide to Game Day

Hi guys! I'm Caroline, the fab'rik Savannah store manager and blogger over at ladylikelace.com. I'm super pumped about sharing a fun and simple guide to game day! With football season around the corner and as the daughter of a former football coach and sister to a football player, this post is near to my heart! Mostly because, I get it, in the south football season is a BIG deal, the biggest deal and I'm here to help you answer that dreaded question, "What should I wear to the game?" Every girl needs the perfect game day outfit to feel beautiful and to cheer on your team with confidence, and fab'rik is the perfect place to find that! Here a few guidelines and pictures to help you throughout the season:

1. Keep it simple- I'm the first one to admit that I love a complicated outfit with layers everywhere, tons of jewels, and new trends, but game day means less is more. You definitely don't want to look like you tried too hard and cute, simple pieces can always make a statement!

2.Be comfortable- This is not the time to try out your new super mini skirt or 6 inch heels. You NEED to be and look comfortable! You're going to be jumping up and down, mingling with friends, eating unhealthy, but oh so yummy food, and possibly climbing up and down bleachers! So slip on your favorite easy dress or your most comfortable pair of jeans for the days festivities!

3.Mix and match- Be sure to buy pieces that you can mix and match together and with other pieces. This will give you more options for every game without wearing the same outfit twice. Buy basics and solid colors that you can wear again.

4.Dress weather appropriate- We all know the weather during football season can be crazy! It's hot one week and can be freezing the next! Be sure to dress appropriate according to the weather. We know you're dying to wear that cute backless dress you snagged at fab'rik last week, but if it's 30 degrees out, save the dress and bundle up in your cutest game day sweater and boots!

5.It's all in the DEETS: Showing your team support is sometimes best executed in tiny increments. I love the idea of adding your schools colors in the little details of your outfit. Consider sporting your colors in your necklace, handbag, earrings, or shoes!

fab'rik City Spotlight: Macon, GA

Did you know fab'rik has 20 locations nationwide in 5 states, with several more set to open in the next year? While all fab'rik locations offer the same gorgeous merchandise and signature shopping experience, they are each unique in their own ways.  Each month on our blog, we'll give you a behind-the-scenes look at a different fab'rik Boutique, highlighting their eccentricities, customers, staff, and so much more!

This month, we chose to highlight fab'rik Macon. Macon is about an hour south of Atlanta, and happens to be one of the largest fab'riks there is! Here's what the fab'rik Macon team has to say:

fab'rik Macon Team at the White Collection Charity event in June. (L to R: Stylist Madeline, Customer Allison, Owner Stephanie, fab'rik friend Deidra, Manager Holly, Customer Traci, Stylist Tiffany, Intern Kaeleigh, Stylist Chasey)

Hi fab'rik addicts!  We'd love for you to hear all about our little piece of the fab'rik puzzle!!  We opened in April of 2010, and have loved getting to have this piece of fashion heaven right here in our town.  We are a close team, and fab'rik addicts ourselves.  We love to host fun Rockstar parties; one of our most popular recent Rockstar parties was a Braid and Brow party.  Hair styling + brow grooming + shopping, all in the same place? Count us in. Our customers love to shop, while getting beautified! We also love hosting trunk shows and having other fun events.

A little bit about our team:
On any given weekend you might find the fab'rik Macon team downtown at Tic Toc, one of our favorite restaurants, chatting about fashion, The Bachelor, and the new shipments we just got in.

During inventory, we have a tradition of ordering pizza and listening to 90s music.  Once we accidentally scheduled inventory during the Oscars red carpet, so naturally we live streamed it from an iPad so we knew what everyone was wearing!  We don't take ourselves too seriously and have been known to post our bloopers on our facebook page.  We love to get together for off duty parties, like when Manager Holly hosted a jean shorts painting party a couple of months ago. (See Chasey and Madeline wearing theirs above!)  Any excuse for a staff meeting that involves fashion DIYs!

Stylist Logan //  En route to White Collection Charity Event // Stylists Kim, Chasey and Tiffany // Holiday 2012 party

3 members of our team have their own fashion blogs!  Manager Holly's blog is called Designer Styles for The Frugal Soul.  Stylist Tiffany's blog is Tiffany Style Blog.  Stylist Logan's blog is all about the Bohemian Hipster!

A little about our customers:  The fab'rik Macon customer has a pretty classic style. She's not afraid to try new trends, but knows when to stick to the basics as well.  We wear a lot of pink in March for the annual Cherry Blossom Festival, and come fall, our customers love buying things in their school colors for football season We love to send our fab'rik addicts photos as new things come in, and we love learning what all our customers are into as trends come and go.

We'd love for any fab'rik addicts to come visit us if you are in town! We are open Mon-Sat 10-7, and Sun 1-5.
